Ergonomic lifting equipment significantly reduces the daily labor burden in our production! On this “International Day for Safety and Health at Work” we would like to put the spotlight on the efforts of our prevention advisor! The most specifically invention in the sector is the automatic lever with which the spindles are removed from the 10-spindle. There are of course also many other small initiatives.
On this “International Day for Safety and Health at Work”, we would like to highlight the efforts of our prevention advisor, with an additional role from HR. He is always lurking around the corner and working behind the scenes to create a safe and healthy working environment. He invests in training and awareness, implements strict safety protocols and regularly evaluates and improves our processes. Some decisions are very visual, but many others no one thinks about.
In our production environment, an important focus is on ergonomic working. We try – sometimes with very minor adjustments and where possible – to use various ergonomic aids to reduce the daily workload. The most innovative invention in the sector is the automatic lever with which the spindles are removed from the 10-spindle. There are of course also many small initiatives: including automatic pallet wrappers, pneumatically driven pallet stackers, ergonomic chairs for stationary repetitive work, height-adjustable tables, a loading surface for stacking heavy containers, etc.
Our aim is to keep workplace accidents and injuries to an absolute minimum so that our employees can work with confidence and peace of mind. We invest in modern equipment and facilities, provide regular maintenance and inspections, and encourage open communication about any safety concerns. Sometimes the risk limitations lie in very small adjustments: this is how we work, for example. only with break-away knives where the blade is shielded so that the hands are protected against cuts, or we regularly conduct a safety tour so that dangerous situations can be detected in time.
Finally, we recognize the importance of occupational health and strive to create an environment that promotes the well-being of our employees. In the event of illness, the manager undertakes to remain in direct contact with the absent employee. In the event of absenteeism due to illness, a meeting will follow to discuss absences and find work-related solutions.
Through our commitment to occupational safety and health, we not only aim to comply with legal requirements, but above all to create an environment in which our employees can thrive and excel.
