Synthetic flax combines the benefits of synthetic rope with the appearance of natural rope.

It is made with polypropylene, but the synthetic fibers are processed further in the same traditional way as natural fibers.

Technical details

  • 3 and 4 strand (from 8 mm) twisted
  • Lower tensile strength than polypropylene, the least strong rope in our range of synthetic ropes
  • Vulnerable to wear and tear
  • Little to no elasticity (± 0%)
  • Does not absorb moisture or rot, floats
  • The least UV resistant synthetic rope, but stabilized against deterioration caused by UV radiation so exceptionally suited to permanent exposure to the elements
  • Heat resistant: melts from 165°C
  • Resistant to acids and bases
  • Natural coloring (beige/brown)
