A new packaging line will support Corbeo's business strategy to significantly expand our local production of rope references for retail.

During the past year 2020, Corbeo has invested in additional production capabilities to manufacture rope products for retail. These increased volumes in their turn put pressure on the capacity of the packaging lines. Therefore, it was decided to invest in a completely renewed packaging line. A Beck Multiplex packaging line with a Beck shrink tunnel was selected. This combination makes it possible to apply the right settings per article in a computer-controlled system. Additionally, the solution is fully in line with our sustainability vision, both in terms of energy efficiency and safety in use by our employees.

This investment allows us to be flexible with our large diversity of rope products and brands. For instance, in addition to our own brand Ledent, we recently launched the Snuro brand. The Snuro labels are multilingual and target the European markets outside the Benelux. The investment also supports the increased interest in our private label approach.

This new packing line will allow us to make 8,000 to 15,000 rope SKU’s per day.
