Hortiray

Corbeo is the manufacturer of Hortiray, our biodegradable horticultural twine. Hortiray is developed to guide and support the growth of vegetables such as eggplants, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. Unlike bio twines based on PLA, our Hortiray does not need special conditions like high temperature for biodegradation. Thanks to the 100% natural composition, it can be disposed together with the green waste.

The twine is available in several breaking strengths and composition in order to suit all cultivations.

  • Composition rayonne+cotton or rayonne+jute depending on application
  • Breaking strength from 40 kg up to 150 kg
  • 50% of breaking strength remaining at end of growing season
  • Limited UV and moisture resistance
  • Natural color or with colored marking thread depending on application

  • Cardboard conical spools of approx. 4.5 kg
  • Plastic cones of approx. 2 kg
